History

Melba College was formed in 2012 through the merger of Croydon and Maroondah Secondary Colleges.

 

The College is named after Dame Nellie Melba who was a very famous Australian opera singer who was acclaimed internationally.

 

Permission was granted from the descendants of Dame Nellie to name the college after her.

 

The College has approximately 750 students located on two campuses, a junior campus from years 7 to 9 and a senior campus from years 10 to 12.
