Engage. Enrich. Empower!
Melba College is a co-educational government secondary school located in Croydon, an eastern suburb of Melbourne. We operate a Junior (Years 7-9) and Senior (Years 10-12) campus on Croydon and Brentnall Roads respectively, with student enrolments drawn from across Maroondah. This year work will begin on a $17.9 million state-of-the- art learning facility at the Brentnall Road site that is expected to be ready to accommodate all 650 students from the start of 2018.
Melba College, named after inspirational Australian Opera Soprano, Dame Nellie Melba, was established in 2012 as a result of the merger of Croydon Secondary College and Maroondah Secondary College. This provided the opportunity to develop a vision, culture and strategic direction that would best prepare our students for 21st century global living and learning.
Our professional teaching and support staff deliver a comprehensive, engaging and enriching curriculum that prepares our students to graduate world-ready. Melba students benefit from the school’s commitment to fostering success in all its forms, providing a positive, nurturing culture, a broad co-curricular program and strong community focus.
Our learning community size and sub-school structure, our dedicated staff, personalised learning approach and wellbeing focus further contribute to each child’s positive schooling experience. This empowers our students to succeed and lead fulfilling lives now and in the future.
